Ken Petersen


Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research Innovation Ken Petersen is the Helen Robson Walton Chair in Marketing Strategy and Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business. Prior to joining the University of Oklahoma, he served as the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University, the John H. Dove Endowed Chair at the University of Tennessee, and a faculty member at Arizona State University, the University of Oregon, and Colorado State University. He received a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, where he studied Operations Management, Sourcing Management, and Information Systems; an MBA from the University of Akron, where he studied Management and Information Systems; and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama, where he studied Finance and Economics. He has served as an associate editor for the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and the Journal of Business Logistics. He has also published in various supply chain management and business journals. He has professional experience in supply chain management as a submarine-qualified Supply Corps Officer in the United States Navy and has also consulted with many firms in supply chain management. Some of these firms include Honeywell, IBM, Raytheon, Solectron, Texas Instruments, JP Morgan Chase, and Delphi.

Kevin Nalette is a career-long logistics and supply chain management professional. He has held positions in varying levels of responsibility in multiple organizations with experience in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Additionally, he has experience as the Director of Supply Chain, Project Management, and Pipeline Development for a biotechnology company in the animal health industry. In his roles, he led organizations providing global logistics and sustainment planning, operations, agile software development and sustainment, supply chain management and execution, systems maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul services.

Rajat Ghosh


Raj Ghosh is a business leader that is passionate about driving business growth through supply chain strategy, leadership, digitization, and advanced analytics. His previous roles span strategy, operations, analytics, product management, process engineering, digital factory, and supply chain planning. He enjoys partnering with leaders in a variety of industries in which he has direct experience including retail, eCommerce, consumer products, energy-upstream and refining, lubricants manufacturing, automotive electrification components, advanced paper, and chemicals. He has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins. Whether it is leading teams at work or teaching at OU, he enjoys spending time coaching and mentoring the next generation of business leaders. His interests include supply chain education, product management, corporate strategy, supply chain strategy, SAAS, recruiting, coaching/training, data analytics, cost accounting, and capital projects.

Natasha Poularikas


Director, Master of Science in Supply Chain Management As the Director of the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management and as an instructor in the Marketing and Supply Chain Management division of the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business, Natasha Poularikas, Ph.D., runs the master’s program and generates materials for and teaches upper-level business courses. She also serves as a corporate board member for MidFirst Bank. In addition, she serves as a faculty advisor for the university’s Association for Operations Management (APICS) and the Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE) student clubs. Previously, she analyzed model performance on voluntary and involuntary prepayment vectors for mortgage-backed securities as a Senior Quantitative Analyst in MidFirst Bank’s Servicing Acquisitions department. Prior to MidFirst Bank, she gained extensive global exploration strategic planning experience in the oil and gas industry at Hess Corporation, including portfolio optimization, Monte Carlo analysis, capital utilization studies, competitor benchmarking assessment, and $1B+ annual capital budgeting process management. Her early career background includes being selected for the newly created Exploration Group’s Planning Advisor role at Burlington Resources and as a JPMorgan Investment Banking Associate in New York. With a drive to excel and succeed, she earned her Ph.D. in Business from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. A full-scholarship track and field athlete, an All-Academic SEC Conference member, a National Collegiate Mathematics Award winner, and an Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society member represent some of her key academic highlights and achievements. In the community, she volunteers as the GLOW Foundation Global strategic outreach advisor, where she is energized by empowering others to achieve their personal goals.

Course Structure 

You’ll earn 32 credit hours across 16 courses, with semesters divided into two modules (Spring and Fall: 8 weeks; Summer: 7 weeks). Expect a weekly time commitment of 20 to 25 hours, including live sessions.

Courses are delivered in a hybrid format, with most featuring synchronous online lectures on weekday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. CT and some delivered asynchronously through recorded lectures. Live sessions are required, graded, and include participation expectations, with makeup assignments offered as needed to ensure full engagement.

Fundamentals of Supply Chain

Credit Hours: 2
This course dives into the fundamentals of supply chain and is divided into five sections, including (1) supply chain management: an overview, (2) supply issues in supply chain management, (3) operations issues in supply chain management (4) distribution issues in supply chain management, and (5) integration issues in supply chain management.

Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation Management

Credit Hours: 2
This course explores logistics, distribution, and transportation management by leveraging current events and case studies. Topics include planning, controlling, implementing, forwarding, and reversing the flow of goods, services, and information. This is an integrated course meant to offer a framework to improve personal managerial skills and professionalism in supplies management practices through analyzing logistics activities.

Strategic Sourcing and Supply Management

Credit Hours: 2
Recognized as one of the key areas in supply chain management, strategic sourcing and supply management play a role in maximizing value in the integrated supply chain. We will discuss advanced concepts, analytical tools, strategic and practical issues, and solutions in strategic sourcing and supply management across multiple major industry sectors.

Modeling, Analytics and Decision-Making

Credit Hours: 3
This course will provide an overview of analytical techniques used to model complex supply chain problems to address strategic, tactical, and operational issues. The course will address how decisions relating to forecasting, resource allocation, transportation, project management, inventory management, and supply networks can be improved by analytical models.

Six Sigma Methodology and Practice

2 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: Graduate standing in the Price College of Business. Lean Six Sigma Methodology provides a step-by-step guide to the DMAIC process, offering students a valuable continuous-improvement framework for addressing problems across a variety of businesses. Students will receive a thorough overview of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and prepare for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. (Su)

Integrated Supply Chain Capstone

Credit Hours: 2
The student will gain an understanding of strategic sourcing and SCM and will develop critical thinking skills involving how the components of supply chain management work together to create value. The student will be introduced to decision analytic tools and their use in decision-making in SCM to develop an appreciation of the impact on the performance of the company.

Planning and Operations Management

Credit Hours: 2
In this course, we will discuss advanced concepts of operations planning, operations functions, current operations management practices, analytical techniques related to operations management problems, and applying these concepts and techniques in practice.

Supply Chain Excellence in a Global World

Credit Hours: 3
Supply Chain is truly global in today's world markets, and an up-to-date perspective is needed as the world is changing daily. Logistics is a key driver of globalization, and a facilitator of international trade and development with an ever search for excellence. We will focus on interdependent flows: materials, data, and resources worldwide, with a lens on quality and distinction.

Earning your Master of Science in Supply Chain Management is an investment in your future — and OU Online is committed to making that investment as accessible and transparent as possible.

Students pay $1,015 per credit hour ($32,480) for the program. Books and additional materials are not included.

A nonrefundable deposit of $350 is required upon admission to secure your place in the program. This deposit guarantees your spot in your first semester of courses and will be applied toward your first semester’s tuition.

Transfer Credit

You can transfer up to 12 credit hours of graduate-level coursework, as per Graduate College policy, with the approval of the department. Credits must be graduate level and taken at an AACSB-accredited institution with a grade of B or better (B- or lower cannot be transferred) and cannot have been used toward the completion of another conferred degree. Transfer credits cannot be more than 5 years old at the time of COMPLETION of your Supply Chain Management program.

No prior supply chain experience is required, but applicants should demonstrate strong potential for success. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, with particular emphasis on performance in quantitative coursework.
