Cost of Attendance

Attendance

What is the Cost of Attendance (COA)?

When planning for college expenses, it's important to consider more than just tuition and fees. The Cost of Attendance (COA) represents the total estimated expenses for one year of school at OU, including tuition, room and board, books, supplies, transportation, loan fees, and other miscellaneous costs. The COA is essential if you plan to use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as it determines the amount of financial aid you're qualified to receive.

The tuition and fees listed below reflect an estimate of costs you may owe to the university. The housing and food, personal and miscellaneous, and transportation line items represent estimates of what a student might expect to spend in these areas. For undergraduate students, the full-time cost of attendance number is based on 24 credit hours of enrollment between the fall and spring semesters, and the part-time COA is based on 12 credit hours of enrollment between the fall and spring semesters. For graduate students, the part-time COA is based on 12 credit hours of enrollment between the fall and spring semesters.
