Tuition & Aid
How much will on online program cost?
Tuition and fees depend on several factors, including Oklahoma residency, non-residency, affiliations with the United States military, and certified, sworn-police-officer statuses. You can estimate the cost of your degree using our Online Tuition Calculator.
Do out-of-state students pay more for online programs?
This currently depends on which program of study you choose. Many of our programs have flat-rate tuition, so in-state and out-of-state students pay the same amount. A few programs separate in-state and out-of-state costs, so it is essential to check the program page to make sure what the costs are for your specific program.
Are financial aid and/or scholarships available to online students?
Yes! OU Online students may be considered for a wide range of institutional, state, and federal aid as administered by the OU Student Financial Center.

What if I need special accoummodations?
The University of Oklahoma is committed to ensuring equal access to individuals with disabilities. The Accessibility and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) has worked with the Office of the Provost and other administrative offices to provide resources and guidance to faculty regarding reasonable accommodations for students enrolled in online classes.
Who do I contact if I have questions about my online courses?
If you have questions about a course you are currently enrolled in, your professor would be the best contact. The program contact will be the best individual for program-specific questions. If you have any additional questions, email online@ou.edu.
What university resources are available for online students?

Degrees
What will appear on my degree certificate? Will it look the same as the ones on-campus students receive?
OU Online students are University of Oklahoma students. Upon completion of your degree, you will receive your diploma from OU. It will be conferred for your degree program. Your diploma and transcript will be indistinguishable from the diploma and transcript that students who complete on-campus programs receive.
What is the difference between OU Online and OU on-campus courses?
There is no difference in content or quality between OU Online and on-campus courses at the University of Oklahoma. The only significant difference is that OU Online courses are delivered entirely online. Each academic program has been carefully constructed by the same faculty members providing on-campus teaching to ensure the same quality education occurs in OU Online courses.
How long will it take to complete my degree?
OU Online programs are flexible and designed for working adults. Each degree program is unique, and the time it takes to complete a program is determined by several factors, including the number of credit hours in the program, how many courses you take each semester, etc. While some programs can be completed in as little as 24 months, the time it takes to finish will be different for each student.
Do you offer undergraduate bachelor's degrees?

Are online courses easier that on-campus courses?
Online courses are no easier than on-campus courses. Each academic program has been carefully constructed by the same faculty members delivering on-campus teaching to ensure the same quality education occurs in OU Online courses.
Are OU Online degrees accredited?
All OU Online degree programs are regionally accredited, falling under the University of Oklahoma’s overall accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission.

How do I enroll?
Once accepted into the program, your enrollment coach will provide detailed information about onboarding and orientation that will walk you through all the steps of becoming an online student at the University of Oklahoma. Online Courses
Will I be able to interact with other students in an online course?
Our Canvas learning system makes it easy to interact with classmates and instructors. The curriculum will vary, but many courses include discussion boards, live lectures, group projects, and more.
How long does it take to complete an online course?
For the fall and spring semesters, OU OU Online undergraduate courses are eight weeks long. Typically, graduate program courses are 16 weeks long, but some may vary.
How does the online format work?
You can access all course materials for your classes and interact with instructors and classmates on the Canvas learning system. Most courses are asynchronous, meaning you can complete your coursework anytime, from anywhere.
